Anti-aging Softlaser

The SoftLaser is a very innovative anti-aging and beautiful skin product from Beurer, a German company which offers a full range of health products and services. It is a portable anti-aging skin care device meant to be used at home, which operates by producing a low level laser. The SoftLaser has also been used for a number of additional functions such as treating acne, cold sores, colds, Infections and minor pain.

The SoftLaser was developed after studies in Europe confirmed that sufficient regeneration of the collagen was possible with the use of low level lasers. Based on the fact that laser light does not contain any of the harmful components of sunlight such as ultraviolet and infrared, the SoftLaser operates in the “Red” spectrum producing an amplified and synchronized infrared light at a wavelength of 635-675 nanometers.

The development of soft laser light in anti-aging skin care is also based on the theory of Photo-Biostimulation. Light is needed by the cell to produce ATP or cellular energy, which protects the cell from illness and infection. The mitochondria inside also helps the cell to operate at an optimal efficiency and produce ATP. When soft laser light is used to stimulate the cells, the production of cellular energy is accelerated and the self-healing and defensive mechanisms of the body are energized.

Thus, this is how SoftLaser basically operates - The 635-675 nanometers wavelength triggers a cellular and biochemical process resulting in increased circulation to the affected area, production of ATP and collagen, and stimulation of the mitochondria. The light produced is isochromatic (of uniform color) and oscillates in a uniform parallel wavelength, and is therefore very different from surgical laser since it does not cut or burn. Its main function is to penetrate the skin (without penetrating into tissue below), and thereby stimulate and regenerate the ATP for skin rejuvenation.

The SoftLaser device itself is very compact. It has a surgical steel head and is a class 3A laser device operating under 5mW of power. It is CE certified in Europe, as a medical device appropriate for home use. It is to be used on clean skin, by touching or gently guiding the steel head on the problematic skin area for a short period. It is also safe to use the device around the eyes but staring at the laser may be harmful. Total treatment of affected areas is recommended to be between 3-6 minutes, 1-2 times per day.
